It’s April Fools Day, and I’m back; but does that mean this is not a real post? Is this an April Fools prank? Or, is this a legitimate post? Hmmm….it’s a bit of a quandary…I mean; this is a post, so it is real but it could be a joke. We’re in a bit of a logic loop here which leads right into today’s discussion of: loops and samples.

With a new release in the works, I have just posted a preview video of song excerpts from the upcoming album titled, Dreams. The album contains several ambient and soundscape type pieces, along with some rock and electro pop. There are finishing touches to be made, but everything is coming along nicely, and I hope to have everything finished within a couple of weeks.
Two of my favorite iOS music app developers have song contests underway and I’ve entered both. There are a number of firsts involved with both entries: I’ve never entered a song contest before. For KORG’s app Gadget, the song contest is to remix one of their in-app example songs. From KV331Audio, we have the SynthMaster Player app and their contest is for an original song that features sounds from their brilliant app.
Quite a big buzz was created by the AudioBus team leading up to yesterday’s release of their second app, AudioBus Remote. This looks to be another true advance for iOS music makers; specifically for those of us with (newer) multiple iOS devices. The requirements: iOS 8.3, and iPad3/iPhone4 and up.
